Museum Art Hotel, Wellington

 

Flooring Project Description: Installation of a high-quality, customised Axminster carpet to refurbish a luxury boutique hotel.

Client: CGM Architects/Foster Architects

Value: $156k

Dates: May 2014 to May 2015

  • Installation of Axminster carpet in reception and lobby
  • Installation of Axminster carpet in hallways
  • Installation of Axminster carpet on two floors (approx. 30 hotel rooms)

 

Flooring Project Highlights

 

Minimising Disruption
Work was completed ‘live’ while the hotel was still operational.
We worked closely with hotel staff to install the carpets on a room-by-room basis to ensure that the property could continue running smoothly without disruption to hotel guests.
Complex Pattern
Installing a carpet with a pattern of this complexity requires skilled craftsmen.
We used a highly-experienced and qualified Senior Installer to ensure proper symmetry and alignment.
Both the architects and end client have expressed satisfaction with the quality of the workmanship.

InterContinental, Wellington

 

Flooring Project Description: Installation of a patterned Axminster carpet to refurbish a modern, elegant hotel in New Zealand’s capital.

Client: Watts and Hughes

Value: $164k

Dates: October 2013 to July 2014

  • Installation of Axminster carpet in lobby
  • Installation of Axminster carpet in bar
  • Installation of Axminster carpet on five floors (150 hotel rooms)
  • Installation of Axminster carpet in six conference rooms, including the large wedding function room

To prevent the need for closure and/or disruption to the hotel’s operation, our team worked out of hours and around the clock to complete the carpet installation.
